Lone Parent Progressions - Marches Course Outline
Let us help you realise your potential!
A one week course (10am-2pm Mon - Fri) for Lone Parents who are thinking of going into work. Friendly, supportive, practical advice on getting back into work, childcare, money matters. Free qualification, e.g. First Aid, basic food hygiene.
The course will increase your confidence and self esteem, with the aim to be ready to find a job at the end of the week.
Free lunch, travel expenses and any childcare paid for.
Before the course
We will have an informal telephone interview with you, telling you about the course and asking you how we can help.
We will send you details on your start date and how to get there.
On the first day
You will be met by your course leader, who will tell you all about the week ahead and make you welcome! You will meet other lone parents, like yourself.
During the course
We will be with you all the way, you won’t be asked to do anything you feel unsure about!
After the course
Keep in touch with us! You can keep in touch in person, coming along to the centre on certain dates, or by telephone. We can keep on helping you for 13 weeks after the course has finished, looking for work and moving you forward!

- Keeping in touch with your mentor
