Mark Compton
Mark worked in record shops to finance his band’s journey to two major record label and two publishing deals.
After a successful career as an artist, Mark moved into remix and production work. He has produced acts as varied as Moby and Rammstein and co-wrote and produced a double platinum, nine week German number 1 single.
Mark collected his Post Graduate Certificate in Education last year and is now National Programme Manager for New Deal for Musicians.
Gary Briggs
Gary moved from Cornwall to Manchester with his band in 1999. It wasn't long before they were signed to a major record and publishing contract. With two album releases and extensive touring under his belt he is well placed to offer extensive advice to clients on our New Deal for Musicians programme. As with all our advisers Gary continues his involvement in new musical projects.
Andrew Potterton
Andrew is a music composer and producer with a varied music career, as a performer, producer and setting up his own record label whilst completing a music production degree.
Andrew developed skills in the wider media industry, managing live music festivals and working in radio, TV and film projects. After working for the BBC and ITV, Andrew has recently composed music for feature films and computer games.Andrew joined Armstrong Learning earlier this year as an adviser - and has worked across the North of England and from the Head Office in his current role.
Stuart Lawler
Stuart has been a guitarist in various bands and has gained a wealth of experience touring and recording across the UK.
He then moved into music production and has worked freelance as a Sound Engineer & Producer with a number of well known artists.
Other roles include Event Management, Promotion and an A&R Scout for Warner Bros.
Stuart is now focusing his skills on Artist Management.
