Mentoring Training

mentoring-training-image We offer consultancy and training to those who are currently providing, or who wish to provide, mentoring schemes to the following groups:
  • Welfare to work
  • Education and training
  • Offenders and ex-offenders
  • Lone parents
  • Disabled people
  • NEET groups (not in education employment or training)

Consultancy

We can offer fixed rate and short term consultancy, to those wishing to set up a mentoring programme, and those who are already running programmes. This service is available across England and can be delivered by telephone and email, virtual conferencing, or face to face. Consultancy available from £200 + VAT
We offer practical help and sample paperwork and systems on:
  • Managing and using data, data systems
  • Quality assurance and quality improvement systems, including
  • Observation strategy for observing mentoring sessions
  • Evaluation including gathering and using feedback, measuring distance travelled
  • Health and Safety for mentors and mentees.
  • Networks and signposting information

  • Mentor training and continuous professional development

    We offer fixed rate training solutions for groups of mentors, mentees and those involved in setting up and coordinating mentoring.
    Training is available in Manchester and Cambridge and can be delivered at other locations in the North, Midlands and East of England areas. Training available from £250 + VAT (one day session to a whole group) Sessions include the following:
    • Starting up – training for mentors / mentees (boundary setting, practical issues, good practice in mentoring)
    • Child and vulnerable adult protection and every child matters
    • Dealing with challenging behaviour
    • Mental health – recognising and supporting need
    • Safe working
    • Action planning and recording progress
